First in the Briarcrest Chronicles, `The Heart’s Desire’ is a wonderful offering from author Anna Furtado. She brings two very different women – one with means, one without – together in this intriguing historical romance. Catherine Hawkins has inherited her father’s spice shop and operates it to make a living. During the town fair, she meets Lydia, a noblewoman with an interesting family. An immediate, but confusing, attraction leads the two down a perilous path of discovery.

Lydia takes some time to become an apprentice in Catherine’s shop and the two become close, but don’t become lovers. Eventually, Catherine is invited to spend some time at Briarcrest, the home of Lydia’s aunt and her companion. Both Catherine and Lydia’s eyes are opened here, but Lydia’s father has decided it is time for her to marry. Now that both women have found their heart’s desire, how are they going to survive?

I’m looking forward to reading `The Heart’s Strength,’ the next in the series. It has recently become an addition to my `to be read’ bookshelf, but won’t stay there for long.

The Heart s Desire

I bought this mount for my old Garmin Street Pilot, and it was wonderful, far superior to the original vacuum thingy that hung on the windshield. After only a couple of trips, the touch screen on my GPS went crazy and Garmin said there was nothing to do about it — so I purchased a Nuvi 265WT. It is listed as a device that this works with, but there was no way whatever I could fit it onto the ball mount. The ball is too large. Since this is listed for that device, I don’t know what to do to replace it. The way the Nuvi hangs on my windshield is very distracting, as the cord is much closer to me than it was with the Street Pilot. I have a curved dash, so I can’t just use anything that sits on a normal dash. Too bad it doesn’t fit all the advertised devices, as it is great when it fits.
If you’re thinking of buying one, I’d suggest taking your GPS to the store and making sure it fits rather than ordering online.

I really enjoy using the kindle. I have only one issue with it. Occasionally I like to look back to reread a section. This is very difficult with the kindle. You can’t just flip pages.

ok soo i was a little skeptical ordering from amazon for the first time and especially to order an ipod touch for a cheaper price … but i was def amazed on timing and the product itself… it was BRAND NEW!!! still in the original case and all… not used headphones still wrapped up and everything… i ordered this for my husband who is overseas in afghanistan and i just sent it he should be recieving it soon… but i was def surprised and happy on its condition i give it 2 thumbs up no doubt…. saved me a few $$ and thats always a good thing… i would definetly order again from this company again
HOW TO EAT LIKE

the seller shipped it fast but it isn’t worth your money because the hair falls everywhere and creates a mess. I suggest getting the new one as seen on t.v. where it has a holder that holds the hair so it doesn’t get everywhere around the house. Don’t waste your money on this!!!!!

This scale works great. It also looks good. Simple to operate. You just have to remember to stand on it once and get off before you get on it for an accurate reading, but it’s a great scale.

This is my third unit over as many years as the product with spin has been available.
Perhaps 20 years.

The product does the job for most anything if used correctly. Do not rush makes a cleaner area. This is not a fast process but easy to set up to do rooms and areas.

Do not try to tackle an entire house on the same day. Why because the empty process and the reload with any unit of this type takes time and travel to empty and load the detergent mix. Again it does a good job and with the spin step attachment steps are a snap. For the step process the hose is a bit short and the unit has to be moved which is the pain.

Because of the ease of storage and setup to clean, its best to finish an area or several
rooms and a hall and wrap the job up for the next day or week. Position the start of you jobs near a bath where hot water is accessable and the empty is down the tolet of a utility tub. Use of the john is best for peices of debris or dirt or sand. I thought the surge would be an item not usable, but it is very effective for heavy soild areas or spots. It works well. The only reason for the rating was my disapointment with the broken locking part which when examined the plastic looked defective.

My last unit was 10 years old and I ruined it by storing it in a craw space at the beach where salt water can arrive and it did this winter.

CONS: The unit quality is at question for the new model. On the first use the upright locking unit broke without stress or a loaded tank just by tilting the unit to roll into place. The good part is that it is warranted (just register on line) and there is a repair shop within 10 miles of the units location. The unit is still usable and will be taken to the shop for repair this week.
