I really don’t know how this vacuum got so many good reviews. I have laminate floors with area rugs and all this vacuum does is take the crumbs and dirt and fling them back on to my feet. Even on the bare floor setting this vacuum cannot and will not suck all the debris up. And, if you have a dog that sheds, like I do, forget about it. You’ll be swimming in dog hair up to your elbows!!!! Do not, I repeat, do not buy this vacuum…especially if you have hard floors like I do!!

I read about the available computers and needed both the speed and cadence, since I wanted to train for a long distance race. Based on the reviews and opinions, I settled on the CatEye V2.
While I was waiting for the computer to be delivered, I downloaded and read the manuals. One common strain in all the user reviews was the not-so-easy install. I was prepared for this and got some extra nylon ties and mounting tape ready.
Once the computer was in, it was as I expected. The speed sensor and magnet was easy, but getting the cadence magnet set was not easy. The recommended distance between the sensor and the magnet was 5 mm, and there was no way I could get the distance to 5mm. FYI, I have a Trek 7.3FX. Some serious mounting tape later, voila, I have both speed and cadence. Computer set-up took 5 minutes. Rim size and units set up, I took the bike out for a nice long ride.
On a 40 mile trek, I have observed the distance measurement to be pretty accurate. I used the mile markers along the bike trail and found the distance to be off by 0.5 miles over the entire 40 miles. The cadence and speed measurements were accurate too (calculated the average speed using my stop clock and the distance from the mile markers). The wireless transmission was never off, even when I was passing power lines or going over some serious bumps
The buttons are a little hard to press and I had to use my finger nails. The backlight was effective even in daylight (haven’t tested it out in the night yet). All in all, a very nice computer. Wish CatEye would have provided an option to download the files to a personal computer.
PS: On the way back, the cadence magnet was knocked off kilter. I guess I have to anchor the magnet more firmly to the crank.

I wasn’t sure if I even wanted to use HDMI cables and I knew I didn’t want to spend 30.00 just to try it out. These were perfect, they were low cost and they work great. Anyone who is unsure should try these, I like them, I use them, and I’m not spending 30.00 for 1 sinle cable

Take care of Friday Good
Hi, I never write reviews but when my husband noted the same problem I had wished someone would have written a review about this.
When vacuuming on hard wood floors the vents from the motor blows all the dust and bird feathers around the room before you get a chance to vacuum them up.
And the cord is to short. Nowhere in this ad does it say the cord length , I didn’t know the length of my last vacuums cord , but I guess it was long enough, This machine is not.

Macro Wide 0 Super problem!
I, too, had a alot of trouble with the dialect. The white ladies would have spoken with an accent similiar to their maids but that’s not reflected in the book.
I think it’s unfair to highlight the bad situations and not say more about the good relationships. I grew up in Tenn in the 50s. My parents and their friends were from the deep south: Alabama, South Carolina, Georgia, Mississippi. Yes, we had ‘help’ as did our neighbors. But not one of them was mistreated. In fact, the ladies who employed the maids actually took an interest in their well being: a warm coat, enough food, the kids had shoes. And it wasn’t done in a ‘charity’ way. It was just an employer looking out for an employee. All us white kids were expected to show courtesy and answer ‘Yes Ma’am’ to our maids.
I also had a huge problem with that pie. It could and should have been handled in a more genteel manner. I hate it when an author resorts to ’shock’ to boost sales.
Another thing I’d like to point out is that Yankees had their own maids and, in some cases, were even worse to their help: Irish & Jews were particularly considered lower than the low and these people were never considered a part of the family.
Please read this book ‘with a grain of salt.’ Yes, segregation and prejudice were reprehensible. Our Southern culture desperately needed to be changed and thank goodness it was. But please don’t think that all Southern women acted like those in Jackson – it’s just not true.

Multi Display Kensington Universal chance
I recently received this for use with my MacBook Pro. Installation was a snap. I downloaded the latest driver directly from DisplayLink, then connected the device to my monitor and computer. My Mac picked it up immediately and set the resolution correctly.
I’ve noticed two issues so far:
(1) Window dragging and any video ran from this device is jagged and choppy. It works great if you’re just setting a static document there, but don’t expect great frame refresh speeds.
(2) When my screensaver kicks in (arabesque) the monitor hooked up to this adapter just reads “Quartz Composer”, while my other screens display the screensaver correctly.
I’m going to keep an eye on DisplayLink’s site, hoping for an updated driver that might resolve these issues.
My overall rating is a 4 only because of the two items mentioned above. I’m overall pleased.
